UA has three daily to BOG (1 EWR, 2 IAH) which have been operating with 73Gs for the last few years, they're all switching to 757s. BOG goes from 3 daily 73Gs to 3 daily 757s, sCO 757s. CO previously had operated 757s from both EWR and IAH, the EWR flight continued onto UIO. This is a nice surprise and hopefully is a sign of things to come thanks to AV in Star.

This is great news, I had assumed it was only for the high season. The lie flat seats make all the difference for the weeked trips I usually take to Houston. Fantastic.

I'm seeing them through April, I hope this is a permanent change. It would be great if AV and UA could work more closely together, perhaps UA could operate some fifth freedom flights such as IAH-CLO-LPB (a former Eastern route).

Good to see the Star Alliance member build up in BOG now that AV is a Star Alliance member. It was about time. BOG can become the new South American hub for Star and it will be a strong hub with a strong airline firmly planted there (AV/TA). Good luck to them.

LAX definitely, with UA. And Perhaps AV to ORD.

Nice to see expanded services to Colombia. They are on my "must visit soon" list. Would be even nicer to see AV at EWR.

EWR-LHR is still 4x 752 1x 772 for the current schedule and beyond. Unclear at this point whether it will change but it seems that the 2-cabin 767-300ER fleet is close to being fully committed, and that would be the likely upgauge from the 752. Right now it is clear that UA prefers frequency over gauge in this market. Adding additional seats to the current 5x frequencies may negatively impact yield.

Not every sCO/L-CO/PMCO 752 went int'l daily as they were utilized on various domestic routes, most notably transcons and Florida turns. While some of this flying was done between int'l routings, some of it was not. On any given morning at EWR there are 752s that RON'd. I would guess that while some of this available capacity is coming from the int'l arena, much of it can be from taking the CO 752s off of domestic routings and placing it on the Columbia flying. The domestic flying is then replaced by the other various aircraft such as 737s, UA 752s, etc.

Busniess First 767-300ER would be a great plane for the LHR run. 757 were never made for crossing oceans, they were made for mountains, the Andes fill that well.

Ah yes. trying to make profits....terrible thing. They should fly 40x daily with 744s. who cares if it burns money.

Kids now-a-days forget about those two aircraft types. I crossed the North Atlantic many times on the DC-8.
