NK A320 Clips US Airways Plane At FLL

It seems a NK a320 clipped the tail of a US Airways a320 at was parked on Monday night. No injuries reported and minor damage to each aircraft.

I don't understand how he hit it if it was on the remote spot. He had to have gone way off the taxi line to hit it. I've seen Condor with the 763 taxi behind there with planes on remote.

looks like its just superficial damage to the APU cowl. swap the cowls i would bet and all should be well. then again, that picture doesnt really show the meat and taters of the damage.

That was 627. Went back in to service the next day. They just won't go away!

This is well aft of the pressure bulkhead. The whole tail cone section is unpressurized.

What would the pilot's do just after hitting another parked plane, beside the obvious curse words, do they just stop as quick as they can and shut everything down and PA the cabin and call the tower? I imagine their reaction would be more than Ooops sorry bout that..be interested to know

Nah... looks like the wingtip fence cut through the bottom of the tailcone. Do a check of the nuts and bolts, remove and CDL the fence (or replace it if you have a spare), and Bob's your uncle

apu cowl is very lightly built compared to the wingtip fence, and wing for that matter.

you can remove the fence per CDL and fly with restrictions. havent seen one yet though.

I think you might mean BFM in Mobile as ST Aerospace is there. There is no MRO in BHM.

   I'm at a loss as to how the pilot flying could've clipped an aircraft when there's so much room to spare on that taxiway.

I guess NK pax get what they pay tod. A few quick jostles and bumps might be in order for such a low fare.  
Maybe it's a plan to try and take out competitors' aircraft.

But seriously, how does one pull a 320 that far over and not correct it? That taxiway isn't really all that tiny
