I think several of the Domestic 763's are either parked or undergoing maintenance during the winter period. According to Flightaware, these birds have not actively flown in the last 5 days or longer:
124 - Stored at Marana 9/12
125 - Hasn't flown since late Nov, presumably at QPG for maintenance from another post
126 - Hasn't flown since late Nov, anyone know what's happening with this ship?
137 - Last flew 1/3 ATL-DTW, has been there ever since?
138 - Last flew 1/2 MCO-ATL, has been there ever since?
I'd be curious if any other active ships have been parked since 124. Interesting that 121 and 124 were brought out of storage around the same time but 121 stuck around in active flying.

Quoting B757forever (Reply 12):
I believe the transcons are going to be operated with 300ERs. The domestic 300s will be retired in a few more years.
I think the idea is to put the 753s on more of the long hauls from ATL, 75E and 763ERs will do JFK-LAX/SFO/SEA. 757s will also be used to back fill for the loss of the 763, with the 739s used to backfill the shorthaul 757 flying. (and replace 320s)
