I've spent a fair bit of time there. They've just doubled the size of the check in area.. I'm not a huge fan, to be honest. Reminds me of Heathrow Terminal 1. It's like one of those airports that was initially very small, and they keep adding to it.
That being said, the Aer Lingus livery is one of my favorites, and I've seen Delta MD11s and 777s, CO 757s, and the occasional heavy that comes in for maint. work. Mainly 737s, A320s and BAe146 jets, though.

DUB is an architectural disaster. All the extensions that have been added over the years look very different to each other. There always seems to be construction work going on too.
At peak times the airport can be a nightmare due to congestion and is also bad from an enthusiast's point of view.
On the positive side Pier C is very nice and airy and the shopping area is alot better than it used to be.

Dublin Airport sucks, enough said. Congested, badly designed, dirty........ The best part of Dublin Airport is the road out of it.
Spotting is hopeless. I feel sorry for the people who have to spot from that so-called spotting deck at the back of some restaurant in the latest terminal extension. You really can't see anything. There is some 1/2 reasonable spot at the end of the runway but you need a car.
BTW, I agree with Greenjet. Pier C is pretty nice, the only pretty nice part of Dublin airport.

I will agree, Pier C is nice and relaxed compared to the other parts. In fact, I think all the boarding gates are pretty nice... compared to the awful check in area. To be more definitive, I'd say it's a mix between Heathrow T1 the satellites in Paris CDG T1.
Yeah, the road from the airport is pretty sweet. I had a job that was in a building on that road once.... you could jsut stare out the window at the planes coming in on short finals... always nice when an EI A330 roared in!

What's Dublin DUB airport like?
Its a big flat area with lots of grass, a few runways and taxiways, a terminal building, and airplanes take off and land there.
Sorry, seriously, it is a great airport for pics provided that you are prepared to get out of the terminals and go down the side of the runway - its quite a walk and a rental car might be the best option. Lots of Aer Lingus (no surprise there then) and Ryanair (though very few 737-800s), and a pretty good mix of other traffic too. I like DUB!
