Estonian Air To Keep CRJ900's?

According to the link below, Estonian Air will be phasing out the Saab's and EMB-170's and cancelled the other Embraer's that were on order.

Will Estonian Air acquire a few more CRJ900's? I thought I read that they wanted a fleet of 5 aircraft, so adding two more CRJ900's would get them to that magic number.

A number of used CRJ900 NextGen's on the market, including the 6 ex-PLUNA ones that were recently ferried back to Canada.

I read somewhere, a few months back that they like both types and weren’t decided on which one they would be getting rid of, but it would most likely be the Embraers because the resale value of the CRJs is low and it's hard to find a buyer.

I was unaware that the PLUNA's CRJ were back in Canada and for sale back again as I thought the Uruguay government was still trying to find someone to operate them.

Then the CRJ scenario make even more sense, very interesting situation.

Sad news. I'm not a big fan of OV-s CRJs. Especially during the winter, when there is -15 degrees together with a snowstorm outside and the CRJ is not connected to the gate... Embraers are in many ways much more comfortable. But obviously you sell these, which have a second-hand market.

The four Embraers are leased from AY, originally till 2015 according to the Finnish press. Returning back to AY or actually to FlyBe Nordic who operate their E-Jets?

Estonian Air has confirmed to us at ch-aviation that they are still negotiating with Bombardier, Embraer, Finnair and lessors. All they have decided is they only want five regional jets from the summer season onwards (so will close Estonian Air Regional and their Saab 340 operations) and that they would prefer this to be five RJs from the same supplier.

Right now they have 4 EMB-170s on dry-lease from Finnair plus the three CRJ-900s (so 7 RJs). They had ordered two EMB-175s and one EMB-190s and were to dry-lease two EMB-190s from lessors. Two of these three EMB-190s were due for delivery in March. So I guess there are still several options on how to get from 7 to 5.
