Rumors have it...that KLM is about to announce the next phase of its cooperation with ETIHAD. This may result in expanded flying on AMS - AUH - AMS with both EY and KL operating A332 daily, in addition to the 6x/weekly GA A332...making 3x/daily AUH-AMS codeshared between EY, KL.....and possibly GA?
Further rumors .....say that GA may launch European flights from/to DPS in cooperation with KL, possibly via AUH with B773 later this year.

First of all its IKA that they gonna stop they've stopped THR years ago. and as Fallap mentioned above i was relaly into going to back my country with the only airline operating MD11 commercials , but then what can we do?
the plan is on a LH 747 or A340 .
Other than that, The glorious Iran Air A300s .

Yes, that's true, but the new airport just opened several years ago. THR seems to refer to the city regardless, as I believe it is the city code for all of Tehran, including both airports.

So what does this mean for the MD11 fleet? IKA was one of the 3 MD11 destinations. With the one or two frames on the IKA route freed, will they be put on another route or will they retire earlier than planned?
Is Montreal still a confirmed MD11 destination in the 2013 summer schedule?

The strange thing is they just loaded 5 weekly A332 to W13, a small capacity increase. Then again, it's KLM and we know how quickly they react if bookings don't go well.

KL is already confirmed going to daily in S13. As for EY, they received slots for a daily flight to AMS ex AUH as of May 15th (an A332 doing EY077/8 which will arrive in AMS at 14:40 and leave AMS at 22:00, if the slot request is correct). However, there should be a press release on tuesday where this should be confirmed (or that they'll postpone till W13)

Unfortunately, the Middle East airlines have the entire Pakistan market to themselves. Nice thought and totally understandable. PIA is so bad not even the most uber Pakistan patriot would fly it. Yes, they are that bad.
Really? Apart from the lack of alcohol served onboard and their old B743 and A310 used. They do seem to be an alright carrier, atleast judged from pictures here at Airliners. Plus they have the most affordable business class I've ever seen.

Since LH doesn't operate the a332, one can only assume they meant KL.
