Citilink, the low cost subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, pushes the neo backlog beyond 1700 units with a firm order for 25 A320neo aircraft. The contract was signed in December 2012.

I guess they will order LEAP-1A as Garuda ordered them as well for their order for 10 A320neo, which will also go to Citilink. By that time they also signed for 25 options...

Good news for the NEO-program.   Even though we are getting used to mega-orders these days, 25 airplanes is still is respectable number. Congrats to all involved in this deal.

Anyway .. The NEO program must surely exceed Airbus' expectation, no?
1700ish order in 2 years.
By the way .. the Neo was launched January 12, 2010.
I wonders if there was a birthday party last Saturday.

Nice order, but slightly odd that they're ordering planes directly and via Garuda.

The neo was launched on Dec 1st, 2010. The first order from Virgin America was announced in January 2011.
