Excellent news for Embraer, I flew my first one last year and was very impressed. What a lovely comfortable plane, I am surprised they have had a bad 12 mos with limited orders

Let's hope we see more orders like this for them

I gather these are near term, pre-the re-engine? The article implies this will help sustain 2013 deliveries, but I am making assumptions there...

Could it be for TK by any chance?

Wishful thinking but could it be BA's replacement for the Gatwick fleet? 20 Embraer aircraft and the BMI A319s would work well.

Good news anyway. A very comfortable plane!

My thinking too - having flown the E190s from LCY a few times I much prefer them to the LHR a 319s etc - probably because of the 2x2 configuration and the greater seat pitch.

The ERJs don't have enough capacity to replace the 734s. My money would be on BA ordering NEOs for LHR and then transferring some CEOs to LGW.

Next Flights: LHR-VIE (320), VIE-HAM (320), HAM-LHR (320), LGW-NAP (320), CTA-STR (320), STR-LHR (320)

Could it be CM? In that case the E175 would be the smallest aircraft on its fleet.

I'm not on CM's payroll.

Maybe it's California Pacific. They're doing great so far!

Highly unlikely, but could it be AC looking for aircraft to substitute the a319s that are going to rouge? like I said, not likely, but a possibility.

This order would suit OS to replace the old F-70 and F-100 (currently 9 -70s and 15 -100s, but I fear that LH is not ordering them any planes at the moment...

WARNING! The post above should be taken with a grain of salt! Furthermore, it may be slightly biased towards A.

While that would be nice, especially to replace the Green seats on the VO Fleet, I think LH said that OS has to become profitable on the existing fleet (excluding the 737s). Or maybe that was just the longhaul fleet.

Maybe a regional partner in talks with AA to provide additional regional lift?

B-52s don't take off. They scare the ground away.

Same here, +1 for the E170.

Perhaps AeroMexico/AeroMexico Connect is looking for more capacity. Replace those E145's a little faster and try to bolster and/or add both national destinations and short haul US/Central America. One can only hope..

Assuming a US Merger...would this even be allowed since the 190 is currently a Mainline Airplane at US?

I was thinking AA/Eagle at first, but not with the split order having only five of one model...not AA's m.o.
