They were approved by a judge a couple of days ago to further finalize their Major Boeing and Airbus orders. God hope its them firming their 787s at least.

Second that, I already suggested deletion. A seatmate can say anything and likely has no idea what they are talking about. Not even sure if there is an AA connection. Waste of time thread.,

Soooooooo.......Doug and Tom got together to look at colors & patterns???
Sorry, couldnt resist. Makes sense that rebranding includes uniforms too. Best to the AA folks...hopefully your consultants will have more sense than ours and no go with the black and charcoal."Inflight Funeral Director" look.

I know I'm impatient, but two years...really? The roll out of the brand, from airplanes to uniforms, as scheduled will take years to complete. By the time everything is re-branded it will be very old news and probably out of style.
My opinion is that things should be happening more quickly than they are and should be capitalizing on the "new American" concept that "won't be so new American" once everything is complete.
AA has got to stop being behind in everything and re-gain it's leadership position at a fast pace.

We are hopeful that once DP takes over, he will dispense with the new livery so we won't be stuck wearing ties and scarves emblazoned with the "new" American Flag, which Horton had apparently been waiting his whole life to redesign.

I'd be willing to bet that the new branding will be part of any merger agreement. I wouldn't expect DP to touch.

Congratulations American Airlines employees -- you now have new uniforms
What do you want to say now? The creater of the thread was simply asking if what he/she heard was true or not. No harm in that is there?

It will be interesting as to what the pilot uniforms will turn out. While most people inside and outside of AA agree that the F/A and CSA uniforms need some refreshing, most pilots I know are pretty happy with with they have. I seem to remember in the 90s, when the F/As uniforms were last refreshed, the pilot uniforms went to a slightly darker shade of blue. But, that was it.
A while back, I was showing a friend (an AA capain) pictures of my first flight on AA back in 1963 on a Convair 240. The F/A uniforms have changed a lot, but there was very little change to the pilot uniform.
His comment was that they go the uniform right way back when, so why change it.

Perhaps the answer is how he got from PHX to DFW and then back to PHX. Did he fly AA or US?

Is it just me or does it seem that any time a rumored big announcement comes regarding either DFW or AA it always turns out to be nothing. Who can forget the dance thing at DFW years ago that was a supposed major announcement.

This is boring .. A.netters are only interested in the bad/unfortunante/demise of airlines.. Anything positive receives little attention. example: take a look at the thread AA POSTS Q4 profit.. barely touched, yet anything bad/sad/negative this place lights up like july 4th. Post about the 1billion in employee concession if you want some attention. People LOVE that stuff and will come out in droves to justify negative.
