I must say, it's really cool having Internet. It took a while for it to work, but it works now and good. It will be complimentary until March 27, 2013 to all passengers.

Great thread and great pictures in the linked page.

And it looks like American is ordering 5 more of the 773's - that is great news.

Just got off it. I have pics of the flight - what a marvelous time! The inflight wifi didn't work for most people, though - that was the only downer.

We got one hell of a water salute and sendoff from the entire DFW ramp crew, but in GRU they had one wimpy half-salute that wasn't powerful enough to even get over the wing.

I flew into DFW yesterday and saw the 77W at D23. Unfortunately D23 isn't a good gate for viewing from within given the adjacent Admirals Club, but it was indeed cool. Lots of food was beside the door to the jetway and there was a couple dozen folks on the ramp at various times within the 30 minutes I stood by D23. Numerous AA employees snapped shots of the 77W and so forth.

...and...

I must say it did look better in person.

My Trip Report will be online tomorrow evening, as I'm returning on the same airplane tonight back to DFW.

It was AMAZING. The best interior and the best lie-flat seat out there.

From the seatmap, that is the first row of the mini cabin. Interestingly enough, that cabin has the same config (1-2-1 x 2) as the first class cabin.

Sounds like you had a great flight.

It must have flown back to DFW and flying back to GRU in a few hours, I suppose. Maybe they will have fixed the wifi for the pax!

The wifi didnt work for the first couple of hours. Then it was fine for the remainder of the flight. So Im thinking it was more of a satellite issue than a hardware issue.

It didn't work on the way back either. We had the very same issue as the first leg.

I heard it's the Panasonic Ku-ba Wi-Fi system.

Yesterday and today, on board both flights, we had Panasonic guys running around the aircraft trying to solve the issue. It came and went, but was never stable!
