For some reason, my previous thread was deleted, so ill repost:

According to the Boeing Orders and deliveries weekly update, they've booked 143 orders all with AA this week, This includes:

100 737s MAX
1 777 a 77W
42 787s (I assume with the mix of 20 -8 and 22 -9 as previously discussed)

Another of the developments that was pending after the new pilots contract. Great to see the 787 finally as a firm order.

I expect AA to have more than 42, because they are aimed to replace 58 763s, so in a few years we should see some options being excersided.

I expect it was deleted because we have a formal 2013 Airbus and Boeing Orders thread where this order was announced today.

So does this make 21 77Ws for AA now?

Well that thread was not included in the email that was sent to me. plus i started my thread as soon as Boeing Airplanes tweeted it...

Well according to Jon Ostrower its the 20th 77W:

Quote:
The @AmericanAir 777-300ER confirmed by Boeing today is the airline's 20th. All remaining 777-200ERs were converted to -300ERs last month.

Just Another Update. From their Facebook page, the first 787s should arrive in November 2014 and the 737 MAX scheduled for 2018. Pics of both aircraft in the new livery are available as well:

They had 11 on firm order, with 3 delivered. That makes the total 14. With this new added firm order, the total is 15.

The remaining 5 which have been rumored I bet are coming from the 5 777-200ERs they have on order. These are most probably to be converted to -300ER. This won't show until the end of the month.

How deluded are they with these pics? No way is the fuselage that reflective, implying a siny metallic paint. And if the 787 fuselage paint STILL isn't going to be applied to the engine cowling... well, what was the point of the rebrand again? I thought Boeing had conceded to QR to let it paint them grey, at the least.

That is correct. It is now 20 total for 77W.

Engine cowling on the 78 looks plain white to me...

Maybe because Majority of the Structure is composite? They dont have to paint it grey...

What I meant was that since the pictures have them with white Engine cowlings, they probably weren't gonna paint them grey.
