Man just interviewed on local DC news who said he saw the crash while sitting in traffic said it was an American 737. Does anyone know if American flies 737s into Washington? I've never seen one at National, but I can't say about Dulles.

We have to wait a little more to be serious. We got two planes crashing into the WTC, and another into the Pentagon.
The second crash into the WTC obviously was an American B767. The others are not confirmed yet. However, United Airlines confirmed that UAL flight 93 crashed as well. According to Unitd Airlines, it took off New York-Newark airport at 08:42 local this morning, bound for San Francisco. Therefore, I assume it's been the first aircraft that crashed into the WTC.
Another plane crashed into the Pentagon, and a fourth near Pittsburg, close to a AFB. For the moment, these two aircraft are unidentified.
Press reports also talk about another two crashes in Texas...

ABC 7 here in Washington DC is reporting that the plane that crashed into the Pentagon was an American 757, AA 77 IAD-LAX.
