Does anyone know which European airline will be the first to fly an A320 with sharklets? I had a look at planespotters.net but it wasn't much help.

Wizzair will get 5 or 6 this year, all with sharklets. This according to their inflight magazine from February.
It didn't say when the first one would be delivered though.

It's Airbus' way of ripping off Boeing or Aviation Partners and saying they came up with their own " Winglets " called " " Sharklets " so they don't have to pay royalties.

Ouch. I don't believe the suit has been settled yet (has it?) so it might be best to keep those kind of words out of any rational discussion.

I suggest to do your homework before posting such BS.

There are A LOT of differences between Aviation Partners Boeing's blended winglet and Airbuses "sharklet".

Plenty of bizjet, turboprops, military transport, gliders, even some GA planes have had them for a long time. It's hardly a new idea.

Nobody ever claimed it was a new idea, some people evidently just get their panties in a knot over Airbus giving them a unique name *shrug*

I hope someone catches JetBlue's N821JB as she's scheduled to make her first revenue flight out of JFK on Saturday.

From your link :

Quote:
Airbus counters in court documents that it had been working on blended winglets long before initiating discussions with Aviation Partners in 2006, and the sharklet design evolved independently of the Aviation Partners technology.

Of course they would file a counter claim, if they didn't they would be admitting guilt. Funny how they want to pick a fight with a company with less than 50 people and don't mention Boeing in the lawsuit who are partnered with Aviation Partners.
