Last month I bought this book: The Birth of the 787 Dreamliner by Edgar Turner. I highly recommend this one if you're interested in the making of the 787.

There was an IMAX movie release, I think back in 2010, called Legends of Flight, that covered the B787 development. Was a good movie to see in IMAX format.

On youtube there is "Step by step of building Boeing 787 Dreamliner." It is short only 8.14.

If you can access cable, CNBC did a 45 minute documentary on the making of the Boeing 787, including insight into all the problems it encountered during assembly. CNBC sometimes repeat the various documentary's they produce, so if your lucky you might be able to catch it again, especially with the recent grounding.

That 2011 documentary has been repeated endlessly on CNBC in Europe. Seems like it still appears a few times a week at various times.

I used to enjoy the WINGS channel, till it was changed to MILITARY Channel. There they showed a lot of all types of aircrafts from development to flight tests. I learned a lot being just a commercial aircraft enthusiast. I wish I could find DVDs or Blu-Rays

Well the best one in my opinion is the new Justplanes ET 787 program. It gives some very detailed information about the 787. I thought I knew a lot about the Dreamliner, but this program really gives you an in-depth look at the 787s flight deck and operations.
