Well, I was considering flying to the US next year, including an internal flight. I now have no confidence whatsover in US domestic air travel and will have to seriously reconsider if I want to take the risk.

I was a visitor, that's a visitor NOT a passenger, at London City airport the other week, and everyone one of us in the group was subjected to a pat down search after passing through a metal detector. That was just to stand in the control tower for half an hour!!!!

Yesterday's events were undoubtably an atrocity and as good as an attack on the entire civilised world, but it is an utter disgrace that security at US airports was so lax it allowed it to happen at all.
