Vietnamese carrier AirMekong has "temporarily suspended operations while looking for a new fleet more appropriate for its network" and has returned its four CRJ900s to SkyWest.

Any hints on what they are looking for? Were 90 seats too much or way too little, so that they are going for 50-seaters or 180-seaters?

Will SkyWest simply re-introduce the CR9s into their regional fleet serving DL Connection?

I work for SkyWest and we got their CRJ-900's in TUS (Tucson) as of now they are going into the desert so to speak and going into a "long term storage". They were supposed to convert into OO and go into the fleet for some flying but this has been put on hold now.

The CRJ-900's flew via ANC, YVR before arriving into TUS, long flight on those birds!

I have previously read they plan to add A320 models to the fleet.

Do you also have MSN15001 (the first production CRJ900 that flew with Macedonian) in TUS? Are they available for lease if an airline would like some extra capacity?

I thought I saw on airliners that 15001 was scrapped recently? Am I mistaken?

A Quick google search shows that ship was scrapped by Bombardier as BHM mentioned.

I would love to be corrected if wrong.

We have quite a few CR9's on the ramp waiting for either conversion to OO Metal or going into Long Term Storage and a few Q400's as well, all from Colgan.
