How Many 787s Ready?

I imagine Boeing is pushing forward on 787 production or are they? Are they going full speed? Are they assembling the whole exactly to plan or leaving out the batteries? Are they painting and putting in interiors? How does a manufacturer handle this? When this thing ends, will it be Christmas with dozens of airlines getting new planes? How many are done?

The Boeing production thread covers all of this. Production hasn't slowed down. Fitting etc is as it was before the grounding. They will retrofit the batteries on the completed frames and incorporate the new battery containment design/materials into the production line.

Once the grounding ends, Boeing will start delivering plans as fast as possible. It will be a very busy summer at PAE.
