Another member has reported 748F deal off, nothing online about this.

We have written about it some months ago and got confirmation from EK SkyCargo before publishing the short article: http://www.ch-aviation.ch/portal/new...s-b747-8f-in-favour-of-b777-200lrf

Hanoi has a weekly service on Thursdays. EK9898 departs Guangzhou at 03.05. gets to Hanoi at 04.00, leaves at 06.00 and gets to Dubai at 10.15, operated with a B777-F.

Chicago is served weekly with a B777-F. EK9911 leaves Dubai at 13.20 on Sundays, stops in Copenhagen (18.00-19.30) and gets to O'Hare at 21.50. Leaves on Monday morning at 04.05 back to Copenhagen as EK9912 (19.25-22.40) and then gets to Dubai on Tuesday morning at 07.00.

Melbourne has twice weekly B777-F service on a DXB-SIN-SYD-MEL-SIN-DWC routing.

It starts at DXB and returns to DWC? Is that right?

Interesting.

Yes, then seems to go to IKA under a different flight number and from there to DXB. Maybe one of their key customers on the route prefers DWC.

CPH, CAN and DWC are new destinations then too, anything on Lahore another destination marked on map but with no freighters in schedule.

Also phased out one 744F is it from Atlas?

How would they rotate crew on such flights that only operate twice weekly?

Crews usually position in & out on passenger flights. Long layovers are pretty much a thing of the past.

I believe in coincidences. Coincidences happen every day. But I don't trust coincidences.

Makes sense, as EK serves all of those airports. Will cost them less to deadhead the crew on passenger flights.

Cannot find Lahore in their schedules yet. No more B747-400F from Atlas Air. Still 2-3 B747-400Fs from TNT Airways.
