I'd really like to know how you think that the current events will affect Boeing and Airbus. I know that orders will be canceled and options will go unexercised, but do you think this will affect these two companies in the long run? Also how do you think that this will affect their new projects like the A380, Sonic Cruiser, A318, 777-200/300LR, etc.? Please don't make this another A vs. B war. Godbless.

Guys, I don't want to be mean, but so many of you hear have NO IDEA what you are talking about when it comes to the business perspective of airlines (AA, DL, and the rest WILL NOT go out of business) and aircraft manufacturers. The A380 WILL BE FINE (all but 10 A380 orders are from non-US carriers in the first place). The A318 WILL BE FINE. The 717 WILL BE FINE (hell, it is in production!). The 747X project has been dead for a while. The SC project will probably stall for a short while, but it should ramp up again. There is a lot of interest. A lot of you people, not all, need some Business 101. Again, sorry for my rudeness, but I'm absolutey sick of seeing every other post starting with "XXXXX is probably going out of business".
