Not too long ago, I was on a flight from an UA B738 from IAH - EWR. The flight was an eventful one as it had extra passengers on board. 2 - 3 roaches emerge from above the overhead bins and made their way towards the middle of the ceiling through out the plane. We had some ladies screaming because it looked like one of the roaches was drunk and crawling with a wobble. Each step it would take, it looked like it was going to fall. Obviously, the flight attendants couldn't do anything about it.
Before you know it, we hit a rough patch of air and went through some turbulence. On one of the jolts, the inebriated roach fell on a lady with puffy hair. That was the highlight of the trip as the lady was sleeping and didn't know it was on her hair and the passenger behind her tried to get it out. Eventually, that one paid the price, but the other 2 continued to move about the cabin, even when the seat belt sign was illuminated.
So here's my questions:
1) Do they do any type of pest control, whether or not they have known activity?
2) Will the airline at its next stop, do anything to remedy the issue or do they wait for the end of the trip for the plane?
