Norwegian has received help from the well known fashion designers in Moods of Norway to create the uniforms of the employees at the company's new long-haul aircraft.
It is the Norwegian fashion success Moods of Norway who has designed the new uniforms for cabin crew and pilots on Norwegian's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft use.
Now there will be some difference between the pilots and the cabin crew. Those sitting in the cockpit will use the uniforms that are somewhat more conservative and subdued in color and pattern compared to those working in the cabin.

Translated from the link:
" Design in accordance with the Dreamliner interior
The uniforms are designed in line with the design of Norwegian's new Boeing 787 Dreamliner to be used on long-haul routes. The idea behind the design was to create a sleek and sexy outfits. Classic navy blue recur as the main color throughout the collection, and combined with Moods of Norway's distinctive checkered pattern and red and white details based on Norwegian colors. The light blue nuances provided by Dreamline's interior.
Women's collection features elegant skirt and cape jackets. Inside lined in jackets, skirts and "trench coats" are decorated with illustrations that draw inspiration from Stryn, home of Moods of Norway. The uniforms have more happy details as "coffee" or "tea" on jacket sleeves and "come fly with me" embroidered on the inside of jacket collar and checklists on socks and inside the pants. The socks are encouraged to: "remember: toothbrush, be on time, buckle up, know your exits, enjoy the flight, have fun." "

I like how for once the male uniform isn't just a plain dark suit. I also like how the stripes on the sleeves go with checkered pattern.
However the female uniform... Keep in mind that it will be petite Thai people wearing this uniform. The uniform jacket looks like a bad knock off of the AA's 70's uniform and is quite matronly. And frankly, that hat would look bad on anyone but on an young Asian girl? Makes me think of those dopey theme restaurants in Thailand.

I really like these uniforms MOODS of Norway designed for DY! This is a nice change over the traditional navy, gray or solid black suits, and etc... Not everyone will like the plaid, but I think it's a nice change over the standard attire seen on flight/cabin crews! Hats off to DY for expanding their options and being open to new things.
