Air China said on Friday it had ordered 100 Airbus A320 series medium-range single-aisle passenger jets, which carry a catalogue price of $8.8 billion.

> Air China said in a statement it would acquire 60 of the aircraft for itself.
> 40 aircraft would be bought by its subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines.
> The aircraft are set to be delivered in stages from 2014 to 2020.
> As part of the transaction, Airbus agreed to buy back six larger A340 series aircraft, added Air China.

Source.

This has been discussed before but the previous thread is locked and we did not know the exact numbers of aircraft types.

It should be both ceo and neo, there won't be any ceo's available after 2018.

Wow. This plane just keeps finding success. That is a really healthy backlog in just a little over 2 1/2 years.

The NEO's and current A320's are just keep getting more and more orders, it's going to be interesting how it compares to the 737 MAX/NG.

Not yet confirmed by Airbus, so I suspect just an MoU at this point. A possible Paris firming?

There now should be around 150 A320ceo delivery slots left.

I think so.

Highly likely yes.

Do you mean in terms of performance or firm orders/options? For the latter one, check out http://www.pdxlight.com/neomax.htm

I doubt there would be much of a challenge to fill those slots before NEO EIS.
I predict they will already be filled this year, maybe already during the Paris Airshow.

Could be something for Paris. But 100 A320's is always a significant order, and very good news for Airbus and the ordering customers.
