Yes LATAM has significantly altered TAM's fleet plans. LAN has decided to phase out 10 A332s from TAM's fleet ASAP. LAN will transfer six B-767-300ERs over to the Brazilian subsidiary starting this month. TAM also has four 77Ws on order.

Since LAN's three B-787-8s have resumed service; plus with the three new B-767-316ERs that joined LAN's fleet this year (CC-BDM, CC-BDN and CC-BDO); LAN has the flexibility to transfer six B-767-300ERs over to TAM. LAN will soon take delivery of another B-767-316ER (CC-BDP) this month: http://www.flickr.com/photos/75957202@N07/9050340183/
TAM will take delivery of two B77Ws (PT-MUI and PT-MUJ) during Q3. The new 77Ws will be deployed on the GRU-CDG route and the GRU-JFK route; which will increase to 11x weekly with the 77W.

Quoting VC10er (Thread starter): How has TAM done so far in replacing its old F with the new (beautiful IMHO) First Class, throught it's widebody long haul aircraft and the "rumored" or even promised new flat bed Business Class?
Having sat in Business on TAM in PT-MUB for 4 hours between SP and Santiago a couple of weeks ago, I can confirm that:
a) still old F, still old J
b) dear God, that Business Class seat just needs to go. It was uncomfortable enough for 4 daylight hours to Santiago, I can't imagine trying to do GRU-JFK/LHR/FRA overnight in it. I can understand why my colleagues moaned bitterly about it.
eu nasci ha dez mil anos atras, e nao tem nada nesse mundo que eu nao saiba demais
I have flown in TAM's angled lie flat business class seat (the tan, taupe, red, maroon (floral), olive green, bronze seats) many, many times to JFK, FRA, LHR, CDG. It is a double Ambien seat. It's also an eyesore. I have been bumped up to their First Class once from JFK to GIG non-stop. Still a horrible color combo, but quite nice.
The pictures of the new First Class installed on 2 773's (I think) and it was said to be installed on the other 773's and then the A330's a year ago. They also said a new J seat to be coming soon after but did not say exactly when nor revealed an image of the seat. I was betting on the CO selected Diamond seat as it is a popular stock model, unique no, superior no, but middle of the road good yes. What type of business seat does LAN have?
The world is missing love, let's use our flights to spread it!

Everything has stopped at TAM. New frames are coming with the new configurations, but the old ones are not being refitted. J class is still awaiting the approval of the new seats, so even the new frames will come the old J like last year.

LATAM's CEO recently gave an interview outlining the group's goals during the next few years. The major goal is to unify the group's subsidiaries under a single brand during the next three to five years. Within four years, LATAM's narrow-body fleet will have identical interiors. The wide-body fleet will also have the same interiors.
