I was surprised to see Turkish Airlines B777-300ER at the weekend registered as VT-JEN until I realised it was one of the ex Jet Airways aircraft off lease from Thai. Does anyone know what's happening now Thai have five new B777-300ERs themselves? I read that they had parked the Jet Airways frames, I assume at Don Muang. Anyone know if they're still there and where they're heading next?
Also are the Thai A340-500s visible at all in storage?

I saw two of these ex-TG aircraft on Skyliner last week, though they're not there anymore. I know that some of the ex-Jet 77Ws are going from TG directly to TK and I know 'JEN was one of them; I'm not sure how many TK is taking. They have new 77Ws on order, as you may be aware, and I presume these aircraft are just intended to bridge the gap.
TG has another 77W due within the next month or so ('TKP, which I saw photographed on Matt Cawby's website); I presume that once it is delivered, another ex-9W 77W will be released to TG.
Don't know anything about the A345s, however looking at Google maps, I can see one near the maintenance hangars and two more down near the cargo area. Of course, this is probably quite some time ago - don't know when the satellite image was taken.

Jet only flies A330s to USA i.e. is A333 to Toronto and A332 to Newark.
The Indian authorities only allow you to use a aircraft registration once.
Once a aircraft registration is cancelled from the Indian register it cannot be reused.
So once B77W VT-JEA was cancelled from the Indian register for it lease to THAI, it could not then take up this registration again on its return from THAI lease.

VT-JEN is former Jet Airways B77W CN35157 VT-JEA and THAI HS-TKG current active for Turkish
VT-JEP is former Jet Airways B77W CN35158 VT-JEB and THAI HS-TKH currently stored at BKK prior lease to Turkish
VT-JEM is former Jet Airways B77W CN35162 VT-JEF and Turkish TC-JJB currently stored at IST prior to new Turkish lease.

I dont know about Jets 77W business class, but TK's comfort class is in par with most Business Class seats of other airlines.
As you can see in 777way's photo, Jet's business class has herringbone-style lie-flat seats which are at least on par with TK's own business class seats (and arguably better since they are more private and have direct aisle access). Jet's first class has fully enclosed suites. When TK previously operated Jet 77Ws (before TK received its own 77Ws), it sold these cabins as business and first class, so I would expect it to do the same again, but like 777way I'd be interested to know where TK will use these aircraft and how they will use the F class.
