Hi all,

Just to let you know that Air Liberte has a new name: "Air Lib" and a new brand livery. The letter of the name are turquoise and orange with a different style than AOM. The fuselage is white with a turquoise tail.
Some pictures of this Airbus A340 with new colors can be shown on my website.

Regards
Sbb

I think the logo is quite nice.
But the livery is again with too much white.

Tail part looks fine. It's all Euro again...decent tail, large titles on forward fuselage, blah blah blah.

And what's with taking the spoken abbreviation of "liberte" and just making it "lib"!!! Seems a little like a cop-out to me.

And who's Airbus A340 is that? Is that one of the AOM Airbuses?

The new c/s looks quite nice, but as already stated, it's too much white. More color on the a/c!

The c/s is ok with, indeed, too much white. But the name??? Air Lib... It doesn't sound good to me.

"Air Lib" what kind of name is that. Sounds like some kind of unionization effort in the airline industry. The livery is a little o.t.t. and at the same time boring white like most airliners today.

Air Lib is the way employees(and a lot of French customers) were calling their airline Air Liberte.
Same as Federal Express customers and employees were saying Fedex... And now, it is the official name.....
The comparison stops here.

I agree , the livery is too white. But remember, they are trying to restart the airline, and probaly have higher priotities than paint for the use of their cash.

Nana...

Teva--you have a good arguement with "Fedex" vs. Federal Express or the re-naming of AirLib.

So, what of AOM now? Will the AOM name disappear? AOM planes to be re-painted?

Funny, I took a visit to and pretty much nothing has been updated for a while except the announcement of the merger of the two airlines.

Flpuck6, you are absolutely right about the AOM name.
And it is very sad for me, as this name was a synonim of quality (and they moto "French Airline" was referring to the "French Line", the company that was operating fabulous vessels such as Le Normandie or Le France)
About their web site, I think that you will have towait for a few weeks, to give them time for reorganization.
Good luck Air Lib !!!!

I can't say I'm impressed. This livery rivals the TUI livery for worst new European livery this year. Hmmmm--it's as uninspired as socialist architecture from the 1970s.

Re

Yes, it's sure, AOM is definitly dead but some DC10 will be great in this new livery. For information, they have now a new website (but only the first page before redirecting to the old one).
