Junior pilots - Delta Express
Senior International - ATL, JFK (captains)
Junior mainline - NYC MD-88 followed by ATL MD-88
Senior 757/767 - LAX, SLC former Western pilots
Most new hires have been sent either to Express, or to the 727 F/E positons in the past year. A sizeable amount have been sent to the right seat of the MD-88 out of training, some to DFW, but mostly ATL and NYC.

Well, seniority has to deal with choice of living, and from a recent article in the Dallas Morning News, lots of the new hires get sent to NYC because of the higher cost of living, and the senior crew members wish to buy a home and start a family, rather than just have an apartment to themselves. It all has to do with preference.
