Antarctic Airport

The Australian government is currently reviewing proposals for building an airport in its Antarctic territory. Proposals include tarmac and ice airstrips.
If they go with tarmac which would be a summer only operation do you think it ever likely an airline would operate to Antarctica. Qantas already offer scenic flights. Maybe if a eco-resort was built it could take charters.
