Some time ago an Italian charter carrier (Air Europe) which also flyes two B777/200ER with a 339 seats layout talked about to fly weekly charter between Milan and Denpasar.

My question is: could a B777/200ER fly non-stop from Milan MXP (Italy) to Denpasar-Bali (Indonesia) with a full pax payload, but with no extra cargo cause this is an international charter and they haven't the rights to fly scheduled between Italy and Indonesia, so extra cargo is not allowed??

How many hours do you think this flight should take??

Thank a lot for your help

I would think so. 777-200ER/LR has longer range than 747-400 I think, so yeah I would guess it would.

MXP-DPS= 7440mi
EWR-HKG= 8065mi

So essentially, yes. CO does the EWR-HKG route with the 772ER so Air Europe should be able to do the same given proper weather conditions and loading. As to how long the flight is, I'm not sure. I have done LAX-HKG which is roughly 7200mi and it took around 14 hours.

Yes Elal106 - but that Malaysia Airlines 777-200IGW was next to empty on a route-proving flight.

AMS - SIN is 6540 mi
MXP - DPS is 7440 mi

As you can see, AMS - SIN is closer then MXP - DPS.
