Should be 22 of 58 if the individual counts are correct.

I just realized its been a bit over 7-years since UA first announced its new international cabins in 2006, and only now is the IPTE project coming to completion.

I also remember in 2008 speaking with a SVP about his plans to bring the product to p.s., and this also is only now getting done as well.

So considering the huge lead times, I certainly hope the product planning group is looking at the next generation premium product. With such slowness even if announced in the next year, might be 2020+ before its all rolled out across the fleets!

The industry is moving ahead. In the US, both AA and DL have upped their games while foreign competitors continue to innovate with ever more elaborate onboard offerings.

Though while this might be a bruising tug of war internally again to get the marketing, revenue and finance people to settle on configuration that maximizes revenue onboard for the space taken up, I think it would be dangerous for the company to sit on its hands for more than a couple years.
I also imagine this is the time to have the heavy discussion if first class stays, or if the airline settles around business first as the path forward.

Be nice if the A350 arrives with all new cabin product imo

4260, 4655 4711 and 4629 are now labeled 20S (AS) as well & have the new slimline seats showing in United.com.

Known AS aircraft:
UA 0733 DEN SFO 20S 4668

On united.com now showing having a row 12 and a row 38 in economy:

UA 0789 DEN RNO 20S 4260
UA 0311 DEN SMF 20S 4711
UA 0379 IAD MCO 20S 4629
UA 0728 IAH DCA 20S 4655

I am surprised at 4260 undergoing the refresh as this was an ex-blue leather aircraft. It might have been a test to see how long the conversion would be for the type.

Question on A320 seat conversions:
So far we have had 6 conversions to the slimline seats.
4260 (Previous ExTed configuration)
4628/4629/4655/4668 (Previous UA configuration)
4711 (Overwater previous UA config)
FYI: #4628 not showing WiFi on United.com. Also, flight amenities on all above show overhead and Channel 9. Is this an error?

With the new configuration, shouldn't the previous UA configurations and previous ExTed configurations be the same?
Is there something else that identified ExTed vs UA units?
If not, why not merge the fleet into 42XX or 46XX series?

73G Maint:
N16703 exited INT 6861/13Aug
N24715 entered INT 6860/13Aug

ps reconfiguration:
Looks like 2 units are in mod at MCN as N518UA and N546UA are both in MCN nad on the conversion list. There are no ps conversion aircraft at GSO at this time.

The 788 is going to be used on the route, but not any particular tail #. They cycle through the (limited) 787 network, DEN-IAH/NRT, LAX-IAH/NRT, IAH-LOS, and soon to be SEA-NRT.

It was my understanding that the first A320 reconfigure was going to ply the skies solo for an amount of time to determine the pros/cons of the new interior, so tweaks could be made before going full board. Guess not.

753 - 9/9 [100%] - Excluding 12 Hawaiian configured aircraft with overhead TV (3860-3871)

Why did UA choose to only install DirecTV on 9 of this planes while leaving the other 12 with overhead TV? I could understand this choice if the 12 hawaiian configured 753's remained on the West Coast and only served the West Coast Hawaii market, but this is not the case. So why were 9 of these aircraft singled out while the rest were not and does UA send the 753's that have DirecTV installed to Hawaii or are those aircraft restricted to the lower 48?

801 is not flying yet. Not sure when it goes into service. SUA pilots won't be trained for a bit yet (737 bid has to be awarded) but I am guessing the first crews will start training in Oct. as far as flying the planes, the way I understood the MOU is that ( from a flight deck standpoint) any 737 pilot can fly any 737 after SLI. I guess you could be on a sCO 737 flown by sUA pilots with sCO FAs. Conversely 801 would be staffed by sUA FAs but could be flown by sCO pilots. Once IT can integrate the arbitrated seniority list, cockpits can be mixed.

255 United1 : If DL wants circa 1991 aircraft I suppose that they could try and pick them up once UA returns them to the lessors/retires them. More then likely how
256 Deltal1011man : Delta isn't really looking for more 767s. now, as parts planes, very possible. Highly unlikely they would ever fly for DL though.
