Canada 3000 are going to start the YVR-DEL polar route soon, is it going to be the longest route flown by an A/C or is JFK-HKG or any other route longer?

I guess there would be even further routes...don't forget that A340-500 could fly even further!I guess there would be lots to come!

P.S Crank:Which aircraft would be flown on this route??

YVR-DEL is 6951 miles whereas JFK-HKG is 8071 miles as mapped out on the great circle route calculator.

So, no. It won't be the longest route. In fact, there are several other shorter routes that are still longer than YVR-DEL.

AC is tentatively planning YYZ-HKG nonstop with the A340-500 when delivered. This is probably very marginally shorter than JFK-HKG.

Incidently, C3 is also commencing YYZ-DEL as well as YVR-DEL next month (with the same 1 A340-300 on all flights).

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.
