Hey i am listining to scanner and am hearing a one way conv with Virgin 10 heavy i think and NYARTCC about them dumping fuel anyone know what happened kind of curious.

I kept listining more and found out Control saw sparks coming out of airplane and this was confirmed by cabin crew so they came back to JFK it was a 744. Anyone know what might have caused the sparks?
