I was wondering,
a couple of weeks ago I saw a show on Discovery Wings on the future of air travel and stuff and they had this segment of a new helicopter called the Sikorsky S-92 I believe which still isn't out yet,and will be able to carry 20 passengers, but they said that the helicopter will be high demands by airlines saying that in some cases airlines will prefer airliner helicopters over airplanes, what I wanna know is exactly what are the operations and advantages of having helicopters in the airline industry if there really are any. Is there a future for helicopters in the commercial air travel business?

If u ever feel depressed about urself, just remember that at one time you were the most vicious sperm in ur group.

helicopters are cool, but their theory of flight limits their flexibility when it comes to altitude and speed ; as well as noise abatement.
just my humble opinion.

Maintain own separation with terrain!

Check out www.helijet.com. In some markets, helicopters are viable.

Helicopters are cool because it's a lot easier to set up a heliport somewhere than an airport.

What if a proven and safe civilian version of the Osprey was available?
