Maybe is bad climb rate, but maybe not. My friend is currently under final training on Boeing 737-300 (Yugoslav Airlines) and sometimes captain - instructor raise gear second after takeoff!!! (moments after radio-altimeter becomes "alive"), so you get the picture like this - aircraft is very low over the runway with almost retracted gear, and it looks like a bad climb rate

My brother's office is in the background, right next to terminal 2 so I get to watch take off's all the time from his office. Watching those russian airliners take off is impressive, their climb rate is slow!
