Imagine if AA and US Airways had merged... I would have much prefered a hybrid US Air (old livery) and AA livery, as opposed to the AA-TWA they've got going now..
From a spotters point of view, what do you think?

An AA-US merger would have had the same regulatory and integration problems as UA-US did. I don't think it would have happened...

From a spotting perspective.. of course it would've raised some serious regulatory issues, but I'm working in the fantasy world here. I'm especially referring to the old livery of US Air, beingthe shiny aluminum that AA has.. the combination of colours would've been neat!

 Smokin cool

It wasn't all that long ago that US was going to buy AA. No kidding. AA was hurting, and at one point, US had the CASH to buy them. Keep in mind that about three years ago, US Airways had SIX BILLION in cash on hand.

Truly incredible.
Well.. given the economic aftershocks of 9/11, who knows what kind of consolidation we'll see in the near future?
