My favourites - easy.

First place: Qantas' 1980s uniform by Yves St. Laurent in royal blue, gold, scarlet and black, with kangaroo-print blouse.

Second place: The 1988 British Airways uniform designed by Roland Klein, complete with navy-blue wrist gloves.

Worst uniforms of all time: UPS pilots and the last Wardair uniform!

Pan Am's late 60s/early 70s look - light blue suits with those funky hats.
Pakistan International's uniforms designed by Balmain in the 1970s.
Air France's current uniforms.

The Southwest hot pants, halter top, and white vinyl go-go boots were the ultimate.

Honorbale mention goes to the Trans-Texas Airways "Cowgirl" hostesses of the late 50s-early 60s.....gray gabardine skirt, leather vest, and cowboy boots and hat.

Well I have to say that my favourite is the one that I wear. SkyService / RootsAir Designed Uniforms. The cranberry coloured women's skirts / jumpers above the knee, also the the pants the women wear are very fitting shows all the curves. On the men. plain but very smart looking charcoal uniforms. Second Fav. Aeroflot. Very very professional looking. Also Asiana very militant style. Very sharp and clean looking. Air Canada's uniform when it first came out looked very nice. a little aged now needs a redesign.

Now Canada 3000. the womens uniform looks nice except the shirt. The mens Jacket looks horrible. Royals purple!?!?! What were they thinking. Canjet's uniforms was horrible Wesjet is to Blah!! and to top it all off is British Airways!1 what were the people on who designed that nasty one!!

Singapore Airlines

The elegant sarong-clad kebaya, designed by French designer Pierre Balmain. Over the years, it has been internationally recognised with the gracious Singapore Girl. In addition, the Singapore Girl with Kebaya, is on display in Madame Tussauds to symbolise the growth of international air travel.

"Singapore Airlines' legendary customer services standards are symbolised by the gracious "Singapore Girl". In her distinctive unifrom, a sarong kebaya in batik material, she personifies SIA's tradition of friendly service and Asian hospitality."

Does anyone have a picture of a Singapore Girl in full with kebaya, head and sandals? i've tried to find one in vain!

Is it just me or is anyone else sick of hearing about the "Singapore Girls." There's about ten things that I could say that are wrong with their title.

My vote goes to: British Airways and Air France

I liked the Braniff uniforms of the early 1970's. Pucci in either pink/green or blue/green with the long hostess pants and the matching umbrellas.

BTW, the Trans-Texas "Cowgirl" uniform that TxAg referred to is depicted on this page:
