The question was about QF's three 742 Combis. They didn't operate the 743 Combi according to any fleet list I can find. All their 743s were full passenger aircraft, at least those delivered new by Boeing.
I know they operated the 742 Combi to LAX via HNL at one time.

QF had 3 742 combis, ECA which had Pratt power and ended up with AC and the 2 RR powered aircraft which ended being converted to full pax config as previously mentioned.
Destinations that I can remeber include POM, HKG, NRT, AKL, NAN, HNL, PPT, LAX and SFO. I'm pretty sure that they also went to FRA which would've been via SIN or BKK and BAH as they wouldn't have had the range to go nonstop to FRA in combi mode.
Got to fly on all 3 as Combis and also the 2 RR aircraft after their conversion. Will always remember flying SYD/PPT/LAX on VH-ECC, one of the longest take off runs I'd ever experienced from SYD, the gorgeous scenery on approach to PPT and the skinny cats all through the terminal in PPT !
