Last CO DC-10 Flight

Is it on the 31st or the 1st. If it is on the 31st then I will try to make it down to IAH. Does the last flight go to IAH or EWR?

Im thinking (dont hold me to it though) it will be an arrival from HNL on the 1st. If I am correct the HNL-EWR will be the last CO DC-10 flight.

I believe that the HNL-EWR flight is the last DC10 flight, at least according to what I've read on the Forum. The
other DC10 flights that will end include EWR-FCO (it will
go to a 777), EWR-MXP (going to a 767-224ER), EWR-
IAH (whatever aircraft is available), and the IAH-LAX/
SFO frequencies. The HNL and GUM flights will be
operated with the 767-400 from October 1.

I can't believe this is happening. I remember going to seeing CO DC-10's at IAH when I was just a little kid. This is sad. Next time I go to IAH, there will be no DC-10.

Anyhow I was looking at the schedule for the EWR-HNL-EWR run. From the looks of it, the flight out will be a DC-10 however the return flight is going to be a 764. I guess that DC-10 is going to exit the fleet in HNL and stay there. And I suppose they will ferry a 764 for the return trip. Maybe someone else knows something different...?

The last CO DC-10 flight will be flight 76 HNL-LAX on 30 Sep. This flight arrives at LAX at 5am on 1 Oct.

I was wondering if you knew what CO flights operating out of EWR fly the DC-10, as I wanted to go out there this weekend to check them out before they're gone. You mentioned EWR-FCO, MXP, IAH, and HNL. Are there any others? I just wanted to know so I could check the timetables online.

I guess I can consider myself extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to fly on the CO DC-10 in January of this year. My flight was from IAH to LAX and it was a very nice trip.

I am glad that I finally flew the CO DC-10 a few times before it disappeared. Granted the flight was hell on wheels Im still going to miss it.
