I know I asked this question a while back and there werent many responses so ill ask it again. My question where did this airline fly from and to where. The reason I ask this is they had a accident in my town (Birmingham Al) in the early 90's killing all 11 or 12 people on board. To my understanding they were based out of possible New Orleans? So anyone in New Orleans ever heard of them? Any information this airline would be helpful.

Thanks for your help

Brian

I mispelled the name it is L' Express and not "Lil" also the aircraft the crashed was a Beech 1900, in which 13 people died.

L'Express was a commuter-airline which flew four Beech 99s and six Beech 1900. They were based in New Orleans indeed and filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy at 1 sept. 91. This as an aftermath to their crash with Beech 99 (not Beech 1900) N7217L on 10 July 91, killing 13 in the plane and 4 on the ground, in a thunderstorm. Operations finally ceased 16 February 1992, but the Beech 1900s were then already transferred to Air Midwest, a US Air Express operation. Maybe they also took over their routes.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

They flew to several cities in LA, Houston and Longview in Texas, and Mobile and Birmingham in AL. I have a nice picture of one of L'Express' 1900's on my wall.....they had a rather nice paint job.
