I made this video, all pictures taken by myself during my time with the company, as a tribute to all of AirTran's employees, current and former. For those employees who started with the company in 1993, and stuck by it through all of the trials and tribulations the airline endured, up until now.
As we see the teal disappear more and more with each passing day, it becomes hard to say goodbye. The very last graphic on the video is a "Thank You" to those who started out with J7, and remain current AirTran employees. The video itself is a "Thank You" to ALL AirTran employees, past and present.

I used to fly AirTran on a near monthly basis (2008-2010) from ATL-MKE to spend a weekend with friends and family and can honestly say I never had a bad experience with this airline. Affordable fares, perfect flight schedule for me due to the hub situation, and no ERJs. Ironically, as a low cost carrier, they seemed to offer more than any of the legacy carriers on domestic flights (TWO bags of pretzels!). More importantly, I appreciated the younger staff who seemed to care more about how they represented the airline - projecting a positive attitude toward their work. I also noticed they were very generous with compensation compared to legacies if there was an oversell situation.
After flying with an airline like AirTran, flying a US legacy is a painful experience. Southwest is great, but I hope another airliner steps in to fill the void.
