Having read about a number of airlines from the Far East and Europe suspending their services to Pakistan, just wondering which airlines are still maintaining some or all of their schedules into Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad? Also is PIA retaining its existing schedules to and from Pakistan or has that been curtailed too?

There was news report saying that Cathay Pacific will still fly to Karachi and that Gulf Air has just recently added an extra frequency to Islamabad due to the suspension of Peshawar. Malaysia Airlines has also suspended Karachi. Any ideas about Swiss Air?
PIA will have armed guards on all their domestic flights I am not sure about international ones though.

As for the topic, i'm pretty sure that Saudia Arabian and Royal Jordanian just to mention a few are still maintaining their schedules into and out of Pakistan.

Thanks Airmale for the info. It looks like the only realistic options for me to get to Pakistan from KUL will be on PIA (via SIN or BKK as they have suspended KUL) or by Thai.

azaad,
heard it directly from the PK office in KUL. I was in the process of booking a flight to ISB, and they told me that I'll have to connect via SIN or BKK as they have now suspended KUL. Also, all the SIN flights no longer go nonstop but are routed via BKK. I don't know whether the suspensions are a direct result of Sept 11 but I was pretty surprised myself. A couple of months ago when I last checked the flights were still operating.
