Delivery is set for late October Early November. They should be based out of DFW to start. There is only 3 gates in ORD that they will be able to park them at so it might be a bit till we see them there. No word on any routes yet but I have been hearing some suprising rumors.

I have a feeling that DFW will be the first base for them, then SJC might come next. AA looks committed to SJC this time around, and the 700's could do some "scrappy" work in the west coast. I see some being based out of MIA and going down to the carribean and bahamas. With ORD, I definately see them being based there, but with the gate problem, it will probably be about 1-2 years before ORD starts seeing large numbers of them.

SJC? We have not had American Eagle at SJC for a couple of years and even then it was just one daily SJC-LAX roundtrip. All of the other Eagle flights ended when AA closed the SJC hub in the early 90's and gave away all the short haul routes to Reno Air!

MIA is the only hub in the Eagle system still holding onto ATRs. They are scheduled to be the last hub to make the transition to jets. There's no way MIA will be getting CRJs anytime soon. And plus, there's only 25 coming as of now.
