Depends on variants...

JAL has the most amount of 747s ordered historically and in service.

In terms of 747-400s in service, it is BA with 57 examples, followed by SQ with 50 odd-something, and UA in 3rd with 44.


UA is the undisputed 777 champion.

I think SQ might be a future contender for the most 777s. Think the total they will have is over 60 or 70, not too sure if they will take all of them given the current economic situation. They're having 2 777s delivered this week (9V-SYG and 9V-SVD).

I think they will still take deliveries of all the B777s ordered. There is a high possiblity the future B777s will replace some of the B744s.

As of July 1, 2001 they have 80 in total, owned and leased.

British Airways: 80

JAL: 86.

Airlines with most 777s:

United Airlines: 76.

American:40.

British Airways: 45.
