I'm guessing that the next to go into mods will be either ship #171 (N171DN), which arrived in ATL over 24 hours ago, and according to FlightAware hasn't flown since; or ship #1707 (N177DZ) which flies from PDX-NRT on Nov 14th, arriving on Nov 15th.

My guess is perhaps this particular a/c is schedule for an HMV a bit later this (northern) winter, after the 1st of the year, and they may as well do the winglets at the same time?

Still very impressive that by even before this winter is half over, more than 91% of their 767 fleet will have been brought up to a really comfortable configuration.

N154DL was the first 76G to be refurbished back in March-May 2013, and I guess the plan to have winglets done at the same time as the cabin mods was not in place back then. Hence, this ship has only received the cabin mods so far.

There should be no more old-configuration 763ERs flying around by the second or third week of December...all will either have been completed or in mods. The last four will be coming out of mods during January 2014.

With a ferry flight # like that, I'd bet you're right. It just landed in ANC, so we may know fairly quickly...will keep an eye on it.

Re winglets, anyone know what the schedule is for the 7 aircraft that received interior mods but didn't get winglets?

It looks like N153DL may be heading to mods on Thursday, Dec 5. Flightaware shows it sitting in ATL, and the seat maps for DL1067 (ATL-PDX) and DL209 (PDX-NRT) on Dec 5 show the 76G configuration.

Ship #1501 (N1501P) has completed mods and is flying from NRT-PDX on Dec 5th and then presumably PDX-ATL on Dec 6th. Still no update on ship #175 (N175DN), which has been in mods for eleven more days than ship #1501; perhaps it has winglets being installed also.

Ship 175 already has winglets. Ship 1501, being an ex-Gulf 763 didn't have winglets before the mods.

Wouldn't that cause a complete mess if an equip sub happens and you have to compensate for the loss of premium seating??

DL is simply being more flexible by having more aircraft with a smaller BusinessElite cabin to use on destinations with less premium traffic. DL felt the 76G fleet alone wasn't enough to cover those markets, so DL decided to decrease the size of the BusinessElite cabin on more aircraft to cover those markets.

Some international routes just have a reduced premium seat demand, hence, a smaller BE cabin. Different horses for different courses.

Total complete now (30Dec) should be 55 of 58 with ships 179/1521 in mods and 1503 possibly going there. N153DL did a charter from MSP to FRA-Hahn early today. Supposedly all of the A330 conversions will be completed by May 2014.

N153DL has been flyjng ATL-SEA RT for the past week in an old configuration, so not exactly a true statement on the DeltaNet. The aircraft still shows in Germany from 30Dec, but perhaps on the way to QPG and maybe out of revenue service. The w&b charts show 3 aircraft w/o flatbeds and they are not updated until the mods are complete.
