Yesterday Sep30 was the last day for VS at YYZ. What a sad story to their employees and those who love flying VS. VS's short-life operation at YYZ was a great success.

XX

There is a rumour saying that BA will soon cut their second flight from LHR to YYZ. I will miss BA's 777 and its GE90 engines. If they are really cutting that flight, there won't be any more 777 in YYZ. What a sad story.

Judging by the subject line, I guess I'll have to find somewhere new to look for a date  Smile...

The topic kind of intrigued me, too. I'm just wondering if this knowledge was discovered second-hand, or obtained in-person.

That's a shame.. it was nice to see the VS 742s in Toronto. Flew with them this summer - I would've done it again, too.

I'm sure if BA's 777s leave, they'll be back soon enough. Is that BA 098/099 or 092/093? I've flown both - very enjoyable.

"Well, once you've lost your virginity, you never get it back".

Hopefully we can buck this law of nature and welcome VS back to YYZ in the near future. Let's revirginize YYZ real soon!

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Heard from Ogden's employees that BA is planning to cut BA 098/099, the flight operated by 777. BA will still use 744 to operate the earlier flight 093/094.

No more VS in at YYZ for sure. Don't know if they will come back though.

Everyone's got raped here. Big grin

whoops, this is not supposed to be an happy thing.

Again, a victim of the September 11 events. Many other things have occurred such as the fall of Swissair, Ansett and Midway although all had pre-existing financial problems.
