Hello,

Lufthansa

Lufthansa has announced they would add two additional flights on MUC-ZRH and one additional flight on FRA-ZRH.

They will also use larger aircraft on the other flights.

It will be decided at a later stage if these flights will be kept or not.

OS also increased the seats by now using A320/A321. There is a Lauda 767-300 tomorrow morning at 7.55 to Zurich as well.

I think also British Airways and KLM will do the same soon. It is a shame for Swiss aviation industrie. It is so terrible and sad.

Couldn't AZA take some advantage? ZRH it's quite near to MXP, and Air Europe and Volare Airlines both feed ZRH for (former) SAir Group from Italy, but their home base is in MXP. I could see more 8D and PE aircraft on MXP-ZRH flights, and once there pax switching to AZ aircraft and network (even if it has been dramatically reduced after 11th Sept.). AZ itself doesn't seem to change from ERJ-145 over larger aricraft.

DaV,

do u read on newsparer that LH is interested in buying the SR share of Volare Group??
If it happen, Volare+AirOne+Air Dolomiti will be under LH controll, so I will see a wrost future for AZ.

If SR does stay grounded, expect a major fight for the former SR gates at Zurich and Geneva, with AF, AZ, BA, LH and OS all wanting some of the ex-SR gates.

Ray,

here in Europe airlines don't usually own any gates like in the USA.
The most important things that airlines own are the slots.

It was nice to see an LH A300 and CO B764. But it was sad to see the whole SR fleet grounded.

Tommorrow (5-10) KLM has planned 1 739s, 2 738s and 2 F70s for ZRH. Moreover, B738s have also dicovered GVA (unfortunate none scheduled for tomorrow).
