Well, I finally have some time to write about my trip homw. It was so hectic. My flight from IND-ORD(AA4335 ERJ-145 N605RR) was delayed for over 3 hours, so I missed my connecting flight into ISP. I was re-booked onto the last LGA departure, AA338, which was supposed to depart O'Hare at 955P. As the little regional jet took off from IND at 1020, I thought I might be spending my Thanksgiving at ORD. The gate agents at IND were quite overwhelmed and were not very helpful or nice. Thanks to the time change, my flight landed at ORD about 1030, but as I deplaned, I was sorry to see the only departures for LGA to be at 6, 7, and 8AM. Nonetheless, I sprinted over to the assigned gate, and much to my surprise, although all visible signs of the flight had been removed, the A/C was still sitting at the gate, with the door open. Apparently, there were so many connecting pax, they just had to hold the plane. I boarded the a/c(449) which was the first MD80 I've flown with the new interior. The headreasts are great, and overall, the new interiors are a tremendous improvement over the old Super 80s, which I dread. The flight finnally took off from Chicago at 1215 and we touched down at LaGuardia around 2AM. The approach was incredible, I have never landed in such thick fog. I doubted we woul;d land becuase from my estimation on touchdown, the ceiling was at around 100-150 feet! Praise to the always wonderful AA pilots. The landing was smooth as silk(althoough a little heavy on reverse thrust) and we taxied in as usual. Now I hope that my return(out of ISP) will be decent on Sunday.

Wow! It does sound like a hectic trip. You must have been tired when you got into New York City at 2AM. Ooh well! You made it! You know, when I fly to New York from Brussels I always go through Chicago which makes my trip much longer than if I had a direct flight, but I do it because I'm happy with American. I can easily handle such a long trip, I'm used to that. In two weeks from now, I'm going to New York with American, I leave Brussels at 240PM and I get into New York LaGuardia at 1000PM local time which is 4AM Brussels time!!! But I'm still happy, they always treat me right. Hopefully your return trip will be better, oh I'm sure you'll be fine.
As for Chicago Midway, I know that American flies into it but only from Dallas Fort Worth.
