MH have axed their presently suspended service to Karachi, thus exiting from the Pakistan market completely it was hoped that their service would be resumed once the situation in the region improved but now the route has been dropped for good amongst various other stations in Europe the Middle East, North and South America and Australia/New Zealand. MH started flying to Pakistan in January 1989 with the A300 once a week via Dehli, frequecy was steadily increased and DC-10 's were introduced in the mid 90's on the route, they were replaced with the A330-300 and the service made nonstop between KHI-KUL and extended onwards to Dubai earlier this year, according to another member here PIA have also axed their services to Malaysia without any press release, they used the A310 on the route:-(

Hopefully, the PIA suspension is temporary - it has an even longer history of service btwn Pakistan and Malaysia! I suspect that with MAS's stated intention to be a regional carrier, there is certainly the possibility, when the time is right, that it will reinstate its KHI route. Many of its European destinations though I fear will be gone for good.

This is tragic quite literally......just another name on the long list of airlines leaving KHI. I saw their planes in KHI while i was there in the summer and i often wondered how well their service is doing. Airmale how did you get to know about MH axing KHI for good? What is going to happen to the flights because they did go on to DXB.....will those flights still operate without stopping in KHI or would DXB also loose those 2 frequencies???
