What a day! Today I had my weekly flight lesson with Mike, and all I can say is holy shit! I was practicing flying the pattern, turning downwind for 22 when a huge ass sea gull comes swooping infront of the windscreen! Mike had to "hit the deck" to miss it. Scary! We both had quite a scare, because if it went through the windscreen we would have sea gull implanted in our heads.

What is this world coming to? Sucicide sea gulls, what next? Anyway, glad you're OK.
Are you in a college flight program? Just curious, my son is too.

When You are ready, do consider Embry-Riddle over in Daytona Beach. My husband graduated from there and now our son is there and a senior. Despite what has been going around the past few weeks since 9/11, Riddle is a good school, tough, but good. Do make sure though that you are ready for their "core" courses, my son wasn't and had a hard time for a while. Whatever you decide, good luck and have clear skies!
