In another post, the LAX-Nagoya route was stated as getting the axe. I have not heard this anywhere else, if its true I believe this is the only n-stop route from North America to Nagoya. Losing such service all-together is quite a big deal for the US. Especially considering that it is primarily a route flown by business travelers.
Can anyone else confirm this cut?
In a side note, this DL route used to be out of PDX, but was moved to LAX in their restructure of Asian ops. Funny how DL went through all the trouble and angered many loyal Skymiles members in the Northwest US, only to cancel the service all-together less than a year later. In a way, maybe this will show DL that shuffling flights around doesn't always prove successful...Given, we are in an unusual circumstance.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

It is JL that is cancelling LAX-NGO. DL will still fly the route.

Thanks for the info & corrections.
BTW--Bobnwa, the point of this post was to solicit confirmation, not to confirm the facts... to which the viewers before you have so diligently done. I suggest next time you let a post go once corrections are made, no disrespect intended.
