Besides the Dave Clark 5 (great band imho), was there ever a DC-5?

Yes, there was. It carried up to 22 passengers, and was designed to run local service operations out of smaller airports.

12 of them. 4 to KLM/KNMILM, 7 direct to the US Navy and 1 was William Boeings aircraft until turned over to the US Navy.
In addition 4 were cancelled by PCA and 1 by SCADTA. The last known DC-5 was scrapped in Haifa around 1955.

I knew the answer to that question was yes. But does anyone have a photo? I can't find a DC-5 pic on a.net.

Just to add to the question, Douglas and McDonnell-Douglas produced at least one aircraft of every model number from DC-1 to DC-10. There was only 1 DC-1 ever built.

i knew about the DC-1 and 2, i just never heard of the DC5

i guess all the DC5's are in "bits and pieces"  Big thumbs up.
